Version 2.0 · Effective April 2026 · HomeGuard Pro by RCE Electrical & Plumbing Services (Pty) Ltd
"HomeGuard Pro" and "the Company" refers to RCE Electrical & Plumbing Services (Pty) Ltd, operating the HomeGuard Pro home management platform. "Member" refers to any person who has subscribed to a HomeGuard Pro plan. "Service credit" means one unit of service covering the call-out fee plus first hour of labour at the member rate.
HomeGuard Pro offers Bronze (R199/month, month-to-month), Silver (R399/month, 6-month minimum), and Gold (R699/month, 6-month minimum) plans. All prices include VAT. Service bundle add-ons are billed separately at the rates published on the pricing page. The Company reserves the right to adjust pricing with 30 days notice to active members.
One service credit covers the call-out fee plus first hour of labour for any of the 18 tracked services. Additional hours cost one credit each. Parts and materials are quoted separately in-app before any work begins and are never covered by credits. Member rate: R700/credit. Standard rate (non-member): R950/credit.
Credits included in Silver and Gold plans are allocated annually and do not expire within the subscription year. Unused credits roll over to the next year while the subscription is active. Credits are forfeited upon cancellation and are not redeemable for cash.
Bronze members may cancel at any time with immediate effect. Silver and Gold members are committed to a 6-month minimum term. Members who cancel before the 6-month minimum are subject to a clawback: service credits used during the subscription period will be rebilled at the standard rate of R950/credit. The difference between the member rate (R700) and the standard rate (R950) — R250 per credit — will be invoiced and must be paid within 14 days of cancellation.
All materials and parts charges are held in escrow following member approval in-app. The escrow amount is released to the Company when the member confirms satisfaction or after 7 calendar days without a dispute being raised, whichever is earlier. The Company may raise a dispute on the member's behalf if the technician's report is contested.
Standard service conditions assume accessible single-storey property or property accessible by a standard 3m ladder. Services requiring scaffolding, MEWP, or work at heights exceeding 3m will be quoted separately before commencement. No credit is consumed for an incomplete service where the inability to complete was due to access conditions outside the standard scope. The Company reserves the right to withdraw from unsafe working conditions as defined by the OHS Act 85/1993.
Members must provide safe and reasonable access to the property. Members may not use abusive, threatening, or discriminatory language toward any RCE technician. The Company may terminate a subscription immediately, without refund of unused credits, if a member is found to have acted aggressively or fraudulently toward the Company, its staff, or its systems.
